Then we’ll answer any questions you may have about your treatment before you commit to anything. Using our iTero scanner, we’ll digitally capture a detailed 3D model of your teeth and gums. Not only is this process far more comfortable than the old yucky impressions, but it’s faster and gives us a superior clinical advantages. Within minutes, we’ll have a 3D model of your mouth that we can use to show you what your new smile may look like. Then it’s up to you to decide if you’re ready to start your Invisalign treatment.
2. Schedule an attachment appointment
At this appointment, we will be placing attachment (small white fillings) on your teeth surfaces that helps to facilitate teeth movement. Once these attachments are place, your dentist will make sure that your trays from Invisalign company fits on your teeth perfectly. We will review Do’s and Don’ts.
3. Simply wear your aligners
You should wear your aligners all the time-about 22 hours a day-taking them out only to eat, brush, and floss. Invisalign only works if you wear these trays and for a successful results, it is absolutely necessary to wear these trays as directed by our dentists.
4. Wear your retainers
Once you are happy with results, we will give you clear retainers that you will need to wear to keep your teeth straight and from shifting again.
We know you’re busy so we work around your schedule. You’ll come in every few months for follow-up visits to check your progress and receive more aligners. It won’t be long before you notice your teeth gradually move into alignment as you replace each set of aligners with the next in the series. Once you’ve finished all your aligners and both you and the doctor are happy with the results, you’ll get clear retainers that appear similar to the Invisalign aligners, but are stronger to keep your teeth from shifting again.
